Seongsu K-Beauty Stores Guide: Olive Young N, Beauty Mansion, AMORE and Musinsa Beauty

Last checked: October 31, 2026. Store hours, services and floor layouts in Seongsu change often. Check each store's official page or map listing before you go.

Myeongdong is where most visitors do their first K-beauty haul. Seongsu-dong (성수동), across the river in eastern Seoul, is where the big beauty companies now go to show off. Over the past two years the old factory district has filled up with oversized flagship stores built less for quick shopping and more for testing, skin consultations and the kind of interiors people photograph.

The numbers explain why. The Korea Herald reported in November 2025 that international shoppers made up 70 percent of sales at Olive Young's Seongsu flagship, up from 40 percent a year earlier. By mid-2026, Asia Economy was describing an Olive Young vs Musinsa "Seongsu battle", with both companies adding stores in the same few blocks.

This guide covers the four beauty stops in Seongsu that are worth planning around, what each one is for, what we could confirm about hours, and how to fit them into one afternoon. It's a store guide, not a product list: what you buy is up to your skin and your suitcase.

Getting there: Seongsu Station (성수역) on Subway Line 2 is the main stop. Olive Young N Seongsu is near Exit 4, and Beauty Mansion is near Exit 2, according to Asia Economy and Byline Network.

Olive Young N Seongsu: the flagship

Olive Young N Seongsu opened on November 22, 2024, inside the Factorial Seongsu building near Seongsu Station Exit 4. Asia Economy put the floor area at 4,628 square meters across five floors, and CJ Olive Young calls it the largest Olive Young store in Korea, about nine times the size of a typical neighborhood branch. VisitKorea's listing gives the address as 13 Yeonmujang 7-gil, Seongdong-gu (서울 성동구 연무장7길 13) and hours of 10:00–22:00.

According to CJ Newsroom, the layout works like this:

  • 1st floor: an exhibition space, café, pop-up zone and an Olive Young goods shop.
  • 2nd and 3rd floors: the main shopping floors, split into 12 category zones such as color makeup, "Luxe Edit" and daily skincare, plus a "Hot & New" zone that changes every three months.
  • 4th floor and up: lounges for members, partners and staff, not general shopping.

The services are the main reason to come here rather than any other Olive Young. CJ Newsroom lists six as of November 2025: AI skin and scalp analysis, a personal color service ("Find Your Color"), a Men's Brow Bar, a "Quick Touch-Up" for point makeup, a full-makeup session ("Pick Your Vibe") and home-care lessons. In an earlier feature, CJ said that service bookings open on site at 11 a.m. each day and that lines form before that. If a consultation is the point of your visit, arrive before 11 and expect slots to go fast.

CJ also reports multilingual staff and English electronic shelf labels for tourists. If you've already read our Olive Young first-timer's guide, the basics (payment, bags, returns) work the same way here. The difference is scale.

Olive Young Beauty Mansion: the quieter sister store

Olive Young opened a second, very different store in Seongsu on June 30, 2026. Beauty Mansion is much smaller: about 500 pyeong (roughly 1,650 square meters) over four floors, designed as a series of "rooms" rather than open aisles. Byline Network describes it as right in front of Seongsu Station Exit 2.

Based on CJ's announcement, the floors break down as:

  • 1st floor: an open lounge with shop-in-shops and pop-ups.
  • 2nd floor: color makeup services.
  • 3rd floor: skincare services.
  • 4th floor: a rest space with beauty books and an LP listening corner.

New services here include a Beauty Device Studio for trying K-beauty devices, "Advanced Derma Consulting" with 3D skin analysis and product suggestions, and an AI-based makeup service called "Color Fit Touch". The skin, scalp, touch-up and personal color services from the flagship are also offered. Byline Network reported that consultation staff can speak English, Chinese and Japanese.

We couldn't confirm hours, booking rules or whether services are free, so check on the day. A reasonable plan is to use Beauty Mansion for a consultation and the flagship for the actual shopping.

AMORE Seongsu: one company, many brands

AMORE Seongsu (아모레 성수) is Amorepacific's experience store in Seongsu-dong 2-ga. Amorepacific owns many of the brands visitors already know, so this is a way to see a lot of them in one room instead of chasing separate brand stores.

The official Amore Mall store page lists:

  • Address: 7 Achasan-ro 11-gil, Seongdong-gu (서울 성동구 아차산로11길 7)
  • Hours: 10:30–20:30
  • Closed: every Monday, plus Seollal and Chuseok holidays
  • Experience: making a custom cosmetic suited to your skin, with a booking option on the page

Note the Monday closing. Some third-party listings show it as open every day, but the official page says otherwise, and it's the one we'd trust. It also makes AMORE the one stop to swap out if your Seongsu day falls on a Monday.

Musinsa Megastore: the beauty floor

Musinsa is better known as Korea's big online fashion platform, but its Seongsu megastore, which opened on April 24, 2026 on Seongsui-ro, has a full beauty floor. BizWatch described the building as about 2,000 pyeong over five levels, from B1 to the 4th floor.

The beauty store is on the 2nd floor and is Musinsa Beauty's first offline shop. BizWatch reported:

  • About 150 pyeong with roughly 700 brands, with a focus on emerging and indie labels.
  • A live ranking display, a sink for testing cleansers, and an exclusive-products zone.
  • An outlet corner with discounts of up to 89 percent, plus a standing 50 percent section.
  • Tax refunds available at all checkout devices, and self-checkout on every floor except the 4th.

Asia Economy reported that foreign customers made up 64.2 percent of Musinsa Megastore Seongsu shoppers between June 1 and 14, 2026. If you want to find smaller Korean brands you haven't seen on social media yet, this is the floor to try. Hours weren't in the coverage we found, so check before you go.

How to plan a Seongsu beauty afternoon

All four stops are in the same neighborhood, so one afternoon is enough if you don't linger too long at each. Check the walking route on a map app first. One way to order it:

  1. Before 11 a.m.: arrive at Olive Young N Seongsu if you want a service booking.
  2. Late morning: Beauty Mansion near Exit 2 for a consultation or device demo.
  3. Lunch: the "Food Garden" on Musinsa's 4th floor, or one of the area's many cafés.
  4. Afternoon: AMORE Seongsu (not on Mondays), then the Musinsa beauty floor.
  5. Last: back to the flagship for the big shop, so you aren't carrying bags all day.

Seongsu gets busy on weekends. If you can, go on a weekday, and expect lines at the most popular pop-ups whatever the day.

Practical tips

  • Bring your physical passport. You need it for tax refunds, and the minimum purchase is KRW 15,000 per receipt. Our Korea tax refund guide covers the details.
  • Ask at the counter whether a store does instant tax refunds before you pay. Musinsa's megastore was reported to offer them at all devices. We couldn't confirm the setup at the other three.
  • Book or queue early for services. Free or not, they have limited slots.
  • Take photos of product names and shelf labels. It makes reordering or comparing prices easier later.
  • Leave room in your bag. The flagship stores are designed to make you pick up "just one more."
  • Check pop-up schedules on the stores' official social accounts. Seongsu pop-ups often run for only a few weeks.
